Recurring pain in the jaw due to a bad molar needed urgent attention and I was dreading the thought of a root canal. The truth was that I was not confident as prior experience with other dentists in the area was not favorable. On my daily evening walk one day, I saw the signboard 'Say Cheese' and on the spur of the moment decided to drop in and see what the dentist had to say. Dr. Rijesh impressed me quite a bit with his friendly banter and the professional way he checked the problem with a tiny X-Ray. His advice too was sensible- antibiotics before upcoming travel and evaluation for a root canal after my return. The root canal process itself was a two-stage process-Orthodontics and Endodontics. I had never heard these fancy terms before and was even more impressed with the way Dr. Rijesh and his lovely wife Dr. Ajitha worked in tandem to complete the job with incredible confidence and the least discomfort to the patient. I was hooked and agreed to a root canal of the adjoining molar too. My words of praise for the good doctors struck a chord with my children Rukmini and Varun who are working abroad and visit us once a year. They have their teeth cleaned and minor problems dealt with on every visit. The final frontier was to convince my wife to visit "Say Cheese". She has absolutely no faith in ANY dentist. To cut a long story short, after many a verbal battle with Dr. Rijesh about the pros and cons of implants, she too has had professional work done to her satisfaction. They have now become our family dentists. They have broken the myth that visits dentists are dreadful

I am a nervous health patient and like everyone else, I am extra nervous about dentist appointments. But Ajitha’s supreme ability and care in her work makes me feel silly for being worried. Her skills are unparalleled and her ability to put you at ease when you are in her clinic makes the much dreaded yearly appointment almost enjoyable. As my parents (who are die-hard Ajitha fans) told me before my first appointment - “you won’t even feel the injection”. I don’t believe adults when they tell you this stuff because this is what you are meant to say to nervous kids (and to my parents I’ll always be that), but in this case, they were 100% right. As someone who lived in Chennai last when it was still called Madras, it seems very inefficient that I still have city-favorites that I depend on for the well functioning of my life. But no matter where I live in the world, Ajitha’s dental care and expertise is one such dependency that I will always fly home for.

I have been coming to “SAY CHEESE” for the past 6 years. The doctors both Ajitha & Rijesh complement each other so well. The results are hence flawless and perfect. This is one place where I would say “A ROOT CANAL DOES NOT HURT”. The doctors indeed make the dreaded trip to the dentist, a very pleasant experience.

"SAY CHEESE" is the place where I feel most comfortable taking my children. The doctors are very sweet-tempered and they take a lot of time with each patient. The soothing music in the background, makes my son sleeps every time!

My mom took me to "SAY CHEESE" for 4 Root Canals. I did not want to go. But Ajitha aunty was very kind and did everything so slowly that I could hardly feel any pain. ‘Thank You aunty for making me well again!

What I like most about "SAY CHEESE" is that the doctors patiently explain all that they plan to do with the teeth and give options for the treatment. No other dentist has done so and I have visited many, all across Chennai.

Sometime during 2014, I had severe tooth pain. I indulged in some home remedies, which only resulted in spreading the pain to the other teeth. On inquiries, I approached Dr. Rijesh for consultation and treatment. I found Dr.Rijesh meticulously working with professional competence and devotion. The treatment went on for six months or so and ultimately he advised me to go for dentures for functional rehabilitation. He took pains to provide utmost care and attention. Thanks to him, ever since his treatment, till now I have absolutely no problem or discomfort. Indeed I have forgotten I wear them. I recommend all patients with dental problems consult Dr. Rijesh for such wonderful treatment.

I went to Dr. Rijesh for scaling initially and he informed me about my weak gums. It is then I went for a root canal treatment. Dr. Rijesh explained the procedure in great detail and being a fussy guy I kept asking him questions which he patiently answered. I underwent the treatment and had to be on a liquid diet for about a week. That was the painful part. The procedure was excellent even after two years, I have not had problems with bleeding and other issues. Thereafter I went for teeth whitening in which Dr. Rijesh rendered wonderful service besides taking meticulous care. When you go to a doctor, TRUST is the most important element and I am afraid that I would not be able to establish the same with another doctor. I would highly recommend him for all dental problems. Empathy, being forthright, and thorough in his profession are some traits that best describe him.
